Radio & TV catchup notes
The programme database is built by crawling all the pages of catchup sites, such as BBC iplayer, ITV hub, All 4 etc.
The a-z selectors are for tags which have been applied to the programme database.
Use the logic symbols with the tags to construct an expression, eg:
- verdi
- verdi & opera
- salome - oscar wilde
- ( salome - oscar wilde ) & opera
Press Search.
Press Play to listen to or watch the programme.
The app uses a 10' UI on a PC because it is used from the sofa in the sitting room in front of the TV.
It works quite well on a mobile phone for listening to programmes with headphones.
The database is hosted on a virtual private server, and the various catch up services are crawled nightly over a three day cycle.
